About Paul

Paul Dempsey is known to most as the singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of Australian band, Something for Kate.

Dempsey has also always played solo shows and toured solo when not busy with Something for Kate as well as producing records for other artists.

In late 2007 Paul began writing his first solo album. It was recorded for the most part in December of 2008 in a secluded studio in New South Wales, Australia with Wayne Connolly (You Am I, Youth Group) on recording duties and then mixed at the start of 2009 in Los Angeles with Doug Boehm (Elliot Smith, French Kicks).

The first single, Out the Airlock was initially given away as a free download through www.pauldempseymusic.com and then subsequently released exclusively by itunes in May 2009.

Paul is currently in the midst of a sold out national solo tour of Australia getting himself acquainted with playing the new album tracks live. 

The album, titled Everything Is True is due for release on August 14th through EMI Music Australia.
